My trip up Grizzly Peak on July 2nd 2005
Mt. McLoughlin
As my trip into the mountains last week was unsuccessful this week I decided to hike the Grizzly Peak trail. It offers a great view of the valley and has lots of interesting flowers. I stopped at Albertsons, bought myself some lunch and water, grabbed my camera, my map of Jackson County with all the forest service roads and took off.
This is a shot of Mt. McLoughlin which can be seen from the Grizzly Peak trailhead and is probably 30 miles away. It was too nice a picture to pass up.
I had to modify this shot slightly becuase there was a decently thick layer of haze over the valley today. Something, somehwhere is on fire and it messed up an other wise clear day. I have done some minimal Photoshopping to eliminate the haze so that mountains and other far away geographical features are actually visable.
All shots are in order in which I took them as I hiked up the trail.
